In conditions of a full-scale war, logistics on the front line is a constant risk. The delivery of ammunition, water, food, equipment or the evacuation of the wounded often takes place under fire. Such tasks are critically important, but at the same time - one of the most dangerous for personnel.
For this reason, ground robots for logistical purposes have appeared in the Ukrainian army. These are controlled platforms that can perform part of combat logistics without involving people.
A logistics robot is an unmanned ground platform that moves on wheels or tracks. Its main task is to transport cargo, equipment, medical supplies or evacuate the wounded.
The robot is remotely controlled or has elements of autonomous movement. It is used in situations where the presence of a person is extremely dangerous or impossible.
In one of the directions, the Ukrainian military used a ground robot to evacuate a wounded person. The situation was critical: medics were not could approach the position due to constant shelling. A remote-controlled robot performed an evacuation without human participation in a dangerous area. Such operations are no longer an exception - the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly using robotic equipment in combat logistics.
Modern Ukrainian ground robots can transport loads weighing up to 250 kg, work on difficult terrain, be guided at a distance of up to 5 km, have thermal imaging navigation and work without GPS. They are used to deliver ammunition, water, medical supplies, engineering equipment or evacuate the wounded from dangerous positions.
Today, several domestically produced models are already operating in Ukraine:

These platforms have already been tested, approved for operation and are used in combat conditions.
The use of ground robots in logistics allows you to reduce risks for personnel, ensure supplies in conditions of active combat operations and increase the efficiency of units. This is an example of a technological solution that directly affects the preservation of military lives.
